At Benjamin Franklin Plumbing in Southern Pines, we work on both residential and commercial plumbing systems. We want you to know that our ability to work on commercial systems presents an exceptional level of expertise because of the many differences that exist between the plumbing in these two types of structures. Contact us today if you need help with your business' plumbing!
- Square footage—Just the sheer area that a commercial plumbing system covers instantly makes it more complex than a residential one. Luckily, no size plumbing system is too large or too small for our team to handle!
- Specialized fixtures—Often, commercial buildings house unique plumbing fixtures not found in homes. These may include boilers, chillers, commercial refrigeration systems, and others.
- Complex issues—Since commercial plumbing systems are so large and are often used heavily, the types of plumbing issues that must be resolved are often much more complex than those that occur in homes. This isn't to say that a clogged sink or a backed-up toilet won't occur in a commercial setting, however.
- Urgency of repairs—In a home, just a few people rely on the plumbing system. In a business, hundreds of people may rely on the system at any given time, so repairs must be completed within a short timeframe.
- Maintenance requirements—Commercial plumbing systems have elevated maintenance requirements since there are so many parts in operation on a daily basis. Although your home can get away without too much plumbing maintenance, the same isn't true for a commercial setting.
- Intensive installations—Installing a new sink or toilet in your home could take just a few hours. However, installing new plumbing fixtures, especially specialized ones, in a commercial setting is an extensive project that can require large expenditures of time and capital.
- Stricter codes—Every home must adhere to certain building codes to ensure its safety and use. Businesses must also comply with similar building codes for their plumbing, but they are usually much stricter and comprehensive to protect the safety and health of everyone who uses the building.
